Obituary for Ruth Florence Mildred Naas (Eisenhauer)

Ruth Florence Mildred  Naas (Eisenhauer)
Ruth Florence Mildred Naas, 80, of Sydney and formerly of Lunenburg, passed away on Thursday, December 29, 2011 at Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney.

Born in Lunenburg, Ruth was a daughter of the late Fred and Janet (Sommerville) Eisenhauer.

Ruth worked as a nurse in Bridgewater and in Shelburne and also worked at Eatons in Shelburne until she retired in 1972. Over the years, she was a member of St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, Lunenburg where she sang in the choir, a former member of Woodbine Rebekah Lodge # 53, Upper LaHave and an avid card player. Ruth was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

She is survived by sons, Robert (Marjorie)Edmonton, AB.; Paul; Sydney and a granddaughter, Malory.

She was predeceased by her husband, Rayfield and a sister, Betty.

A funeral service to celebrate Ruth’s life will be held Monday at 11:00 a.m., at the Dana L. Sweeny Funeral Home, 11213 Hwy #3, Lunenburg. Rev. Robert Zinck officiating. Interment will be in Park Cemetery, Mahone Bay.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to S.H.A.I.D. Tree Animal Shelter, St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, the Salvation Army or to a charity of your choice.
