It is with great sadness that the family of Eric Mervin Veinotte, 48, of Clearland announces his sudden passing on Friday, March 29, 2013 at the QEII Health Sciences Centre, Halifax.

Born in Lunenburg, he was the son of Shirley (Griswold) Carver of Oakhill and the late Mervin Veinotte.

Eric loved his work and started his career at the early age of 16 and worked as a Welder Fabricator for BMI LTD. in Oakhill and recently contracting for BMI at Michelin Tire, Bridgewater.

In his spare time he enjoyed spending time with family at home and could always be found fixing things for friends. A great loss, he was taken too soon and we will all miss him.

Besides his mother Shirley Carver, Eric is survived by his beloved wife, Shelley, his sons, Alexander (Katrina) Young of Clearland and James Young of Edmonton, Alberta, sister, Nancy (Kirk) Zwicker of Branch LaHave and their son, Gage, mother-in-law, Doris Stevens of Clearland, brother-in-law, Graham (Valerie) Stevens, Clearland and their children, Shawn, Melissa and Jessica, and maternal grandmother, Lucille Griswold of Walden.

He was predeceased by his father, Mervin and an infant sister.

A service to celebrate Eric’s life will held Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at Calvary Temple Pentecostal Church, Mahone Bay, Rev. Robert Innes and Rev. James Haughn, officiating. Interment will be at a later date.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Calvary Temple Pentecostal Church, Mahone Bay or to a charity of your choice.
