Condolence: Richard and I graduated from Annandale High School Together. He was president of the Key Club, and he an I "ran" the magazine room in the high school library. The other day, I was talking with some fellow graduates, and the conversation turned to, what ever happened to...? Richard's name came up, so I thought I would "google" him. I am most saddened to read of his passing. We had many good times together in high school. I know you will miss him, for I am sure he carried the same characteristics with him throughout life.

Condolence: Ann and Ray and families,

I was so sorry to hear of Richards sudden passing. I have many fond memories from our days on Cartaret and Seymour Streets. It was such a pleasure to renew our friendship when I started at the Province and found him active on the NSBAC.

I always valued Richard's input and he was a tremendous contributor to the Province and nationally on the CCBFC standing committee.

He will be missed by all his colleagues and friends. My heart goes out to you all.

Ted

Condolence: My sympathy and condolences to the friends and family of Mr Lind.
I did not know him well, but he and his crew built my deck. He was such a kind, professional man, you could tell how much his crew liked and respected him. My son, who has recently passed....shot out one of the glass panels in the deck with a BB gun.....I was of course upset, but Mr Lind, just came and replaced it, told me how boys can be, and never charged me. I thought it was just so kind.
My thoughts are with you .

Condolence: I was shocked to learn of the passing of this wonderful man, whom my parents knew for nearly 30 years and with whose children I attended school. Richard always had a smile on his face, and was always eager to help in anyway he could. My heart is broken. To his entire family, I send my sincerest condolences and heartfelt sympathy for your loss. Richard enriched the lives of everyone he touched and he deserved a much longer life.

Condolence: To Anne and the family - I'm so sorry for your loss. I had the pleasure of working with Richard over many years on his beloved CHBA TRC committee, we also worked together on R2000, CMHC and AHWP training. We even shared the adventure of travelling to China together to spread the good news of Canadian wood frame construction - he will be missed. All the best, cheers, Tex.

Condolence: Too soon. To Richard's family my thoughts and prayers go out to you in this time of loss. Richard mentored me in my early days with CHBA, qualities that still occupy my day to day dealings. Many code meetings and many beers later I will miss his friendship and smile. The industry has lost one of its greatest champions.
