Obituary for Paul Ivan Mosher

Paul Mosher, age 79, of Deans Corner, died on Sunday August 7 at South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater, following a brief illness.

Born on Tancook Island he was the youngest son of the late Jessen and Melita (Tanner) Mosher.

Paul spent his working years as a fisherman. He moved to Prince Rupert BC in 1959 where he fished between the ports of Prince Rupert and Vancouver. He returned home to Lunenburg in 1990 where he continued to fish lobster until he retired in 2002.

Paul spent his retirement years enjoying life's simple pleasures; he enjoyed fishing, hunting, going for his daily walks or taking a drive to town to have a yarn. He was a kind,generous soul.

Paul will be sadly missed by his daughter Trudy (Halifax) his son John (Prince Rupert) companion Ruth Sammartino and sister Rose (Rocky) Weaver. He is also survived by sisters in law Iris Mosher and Lucille Mosher as well as many nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents Paul was predeceased by sisters Grace Levy, Myrtle Mosher, brothers Basil, Wilbert, Cecil and Aubrey.

The family would like to express their gratitude to the staff at SSRH special thanks to Dr Johnson and Dr West, the care they showed to Paul and the family was a great comfort to us at a very difficult time.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Dana L. Sweeny Funeral Home, 11213 Hwy #3, Lunenburg. A graveside committal service will be held on Tuesday, September 6th, at 2pm in Upper Blue Rocks Cemetery; Rev. Robert Zinck will be officiating.
