Condolence From: Brent Labrosse
Condolence: Art and family, my deepest sympathies on the loss of Marty. Marty was a mentor to so many of us as we grew up in North Bay. She has left a lasting legacy with the arts community in North Bay which will be felt for a very long time as all of the people whom she mentored now share the lifelong lessons taught by her to the new theatre generation. I will always appreciate the time and confidence she showed me through the many musical productions we were a part of. please know you are all in my thoughts and prayers during this trying time.

Condolence From: Sally Kidson
Condolence: Hi Art and family: So desperately sorry to hear the news of Marty's passing. I am so eternally grateful to have known her. I remember my first meeting with her when the Arts Centre opened and she came in to negotiate the first TOROS contract with me. I was Sally Greig then. I just fell in love with her at that point. I hope you find a way to go forward without her. She would want that. Love to all of you, Sally

Condolence From: Faye and Mark Ward
Condolence: Hi Art and family We got the news today/ What memories arose....your moving to North Bay....helping you move in that first day on Rancier Dr....babysitting the kids...eating meals..drinking tea and wine together. You took all of us under your wings and opened your home to us so often. You made our North Bay years comfortable...and our courtship grounded in family. We can't imagine your pain...she was a tremendous woman.... Mark and I have been married 42 years and have three beautiful grandchildren...we will be in touch....had I known you were in Nova Scotia, I could have dropped by. We travel to Newfoundland to visit Linda. Blessings and peace, Faye Ward

Condolence From: Carolyn Levis
Condolence: Jerri, Steve, Shane and Art, I am so very sorry to hear of Marty's passing. My thoughts are with you and your family. As literally hundreds have said publicly in facebook, Marty was a force. In her quiet, competent way, she guided what must be thousands of young people through the formative years as they pursued their love of theatre. I can't imagine my high school and university life without The Company and Challenge. The North Bay theatre landscape is forever imprinted with your mom and her gifts. What a beautiful legacy for your family. Marty gave us so much. An opportunity to push ourselves, to find our talents and to shine. She gave many, their careers and their vocation. I hope the outpouring of gratitude , respect and love for your mom will provide some comfort to you all during this difficult time. All of us, whose lives were touched by Marty Southcott are changed for the better. With sympathy, Carolyn Levis
