Obituary for Darren Marshall Lohnes

Darren Marshall Lohnes
It is with great sadness that the family of Darren Marshall Lohnes, 46, of Barss Corner, announces his sudden passing on October, 8, 2016 in New Cornwall.

Born in Oshawa; O.N., he was the son of Gail Seamone-Conrad and step-father Mike Conrad; Baker’s Settlement.

Darren had a great love for his family; his girls were the pride of his life, whom he could never say enough about. He loved the outdoors and was an avid fisherman, with people from all over looking forward to the smoked fish that he and his brother David made.
He had a kind and generous heart, not only to his family but to complete strangers. He would give anyone the shirt off his back.

Darren is survived by his wife Lisa; Halifax, daughters, Vanessa-Lynn; Halifax, Melanie; Kentville, Deneka Slauenwhite; Lower LaHave, step-son Scott, O.N. Darren was also a proud grandfather to Tyson and Aiden. He will also be missed by sister Melissa; Martin’s River and brother David Hardiman; Barss Corner as well as several nieces and nephews.

Darren was predeceased by his grandparents Allister and Evelyn Seamone.

Funeral Arrangements are under the direction of the Dana L. Sweeny Funeral home, 11213, Hwy. # 3, Lunenburg and from where visitation will be held Thursday from 6 – 8 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held from Holy Trinity Anglican Church, 68 Alexandra Street, Bridgewater on Friday October 14, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. Rev Simon Davies, officiating.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Holy Trinity Anglican Church, Bridgewater or a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
