Obituary for Norma Eileen Worden

WORDEN, Norma Eileen

1924-2016. On October 21, 2016 Norma, “Mimmi, Mom, Nanna” passed away in South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater.

Predeceased by the love of her life, Cliff; son, Howard; daughter, Caryl.

She will be remembered by son, Graham (Nicole); daughter, Jennifer (Tom); son-in–law, Evo; beloved grandchildren, TJ (Alisha), Cliff (Amanda), Elizabeth, Norma Jean; great-grandchild, Jubilee; dearest friends, Don Glover and Chris Berendsen, Alec and Wendy Gingell.

Always ready to follow Cliff’s lead, Norma left her native England to come to Canada, supported his change of career leaving Montreal, Que. for Shelburne and finally Lunenburg. A trendsetter in her own right, Norma collected and refurbished antiques, created, sold and taught contemporary Art Quilts, started her own restaurant “The Tea Cup” and in later years, explored watercolour and encaustics. A people person, Norma was quick to invite new friends and old for tea (and scones!) or a multi-course Indian dinner. Her generosity of spirit and ready smile will be missed.

A private gathering to celebrate Norma’s life will take place at a later date. Online condolences can be made through: www.sweenyfuneralhome.ca

“May you forever be dancing in Cliff’s arms to Stardust Melody.”
