Obituary for Dianne Emily Falkenham

Dianne Emily Falkenham
It is with great sadness that the family of Dianne Emily Falkenham, 70, of Northwest, announces her passing at South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater, on Friday, March 3, 2017, surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Lunenburg, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Grace (Spidel) Eisnor.

For fifty years, Dianne worked beside her husband Michael as owner and operator of the Family Christmas Tree Business and Falkenham’s Wreaths and Crafts.

She was an active and faithful member of St. James’ Anglican Church, Mahone Bay where she was warden for two years, was a member of the Mothers’ Union and served on many committees.

Dianne was dedicated to her community where she was an active member for many years in the Home and School at Centre Consolidated School, organizing two reunions and serving on the 50th Anniversary Committee. She also served 25 years with Meals on Wheels and for a number of years, volunteered as a coordinator and driver for the Mission to Seafarers in Halifax. She was also a member of the Lunenburg Christmas Tree Association.

Throughout all of her involvement, the deep and abiding love she felt for her family and the support she could offer them remained her priority and was always happiest when she was surrounded by all her children and grandchildren.

Dianne is survived by her husband, Michael; daughter, Nikki (Mike) Knock, Northwest; sons, David Falkenham, Wileville; Dan Falkenham, Toronto; brother, Gerald (Rhoda) Eisnor, Fauxburg; grandchildren, Alannah and Shane Knock.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Dana L. Sweeny Funeral Home, 11213, Hwy. # 3, Lunenburg. A service to celebrate Dianne’s life will be held Saturday, March 11, 2017 at 11:00 am at St. James’ Anglican Church, Mahone Bay, Rev. Chad McCharles, officiating, assisted by Rev. Alvin Westgate. Interment will be at a later date.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to St. James’s Anglican Church, Mahone Bay; the V.O.N., Lunenburg County or the South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater.
