I worked for several years with Ern aboard the Theresa E. Connor at the Fisheries Museum of the Atlantic. Ern was very generous in sharing his knowledge with me about dory fishing. Ern treated me like a brother and we had a lot of fun working together and great yarns about our beloved NFLD.

Please accept my sincere condolences on Ern's passing. It was an honour to have known such a great person and I will truly miss him. May God embrace you in comfort during this difficult time.

Condolence: To Pressy and Family

So sad to hear of Ern George's passing. We are thankful to have visited with him last summer as we really enjoyed our time. It was my first opportunity to thank him for taking me on the schooner from Port aux Basque to Millers Passage when I was just 10 years old. We are thankful that he had lived such a happy and long life. He will be in our prayers.
