In her earlier years, Geraldine worked at Riverport Seafoods and then went on to take her Certified Nursing Assistant Course at Community College, Bridgewater and after graduation worked for over 30 years as an LPN at the Veteran’s Unit of the Fishermen’s Memorial Hospital.

Geraldine was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch # 23, Lunenburg, and was most happy spending time at home with family and friends and enjoying a great book. She had a caring personality and will be missed by all those who knew her.

She is survived by her mom, Connie Lutes, Lunenburg; her loving husband, Philip, sons, Gerry (Natasha), Rhodes Corner; Timmy (Pam), Thunder Bay; 8 grandchildren, sisters, Bonnie (Ron) Mciver, Liverpool; Heidi Slauenwhite (Verl Anderson) Fort McMurray, AB; brother, Harold (Jean) Clitheroe, Calgary, AB; step-brother, Michael (Margot) Lutes, Bridgewater and step-sister Linda Thorsen (Carl Wadman), Middleton and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her father, Gerald Clitheroe and step-father, George Lutes.

Friends are invited to share their memories of Geraldine with her family, during visitation on Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Dana L. Sweeny Funeral Home, 11213 Hwy. #3, Lunenburg.
