Obituary for Diane Lynn Cook (Heisler)

Diane Lynn Cook (Heisler)
It is with great sadness that the family of Diane Lynn Cook, 69, of First South, announces her passing on April 12, 2017 at her home in First South.

Born in Lunenburg, Diane was the daughter of the late Aubrey and Lillian (Nowe) Heisler.

She was a member of First South United Church, First South.

Diane was a long-time employee with the Town of Lunenburg and retired in September of 2012. She made many friends over the years, and she will be deeply missed by all. In years past Diane enjoyed knitting and crocheting, and the company of family and friends. Since her retirement she devoted all of her time in her role as “Nan” to her three grandchildren, whom she adored.

She is survived by her daughter, Wanda (Brad Gagnon) Bush, First South; and grandchildren, Ashley, Kyra and Lucas and sister, Shirley Poole of Halifax and brother, Franklin Heisler of Ontario as well as several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband, Ivan.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Dana L. Sweeny Funeral Home, 11213, Hwy. # 3, Lunenburg. At Diane’s request there will be no memorial service

In lieu of flowers memorial donations made to the Family would be appreciated.
