I was very sorry to read that Tom has passed away.
He was such a wonderful man and both Bill and I always looked forward to his visits every two weeks with our fresh haddock.
His visits were more than just delivering fish to us...it was usually a wonderful social visit.
I introduced Tom to my grandson who just graduated from the Nautical Institute in Port Hawkesbury. My grandson had just spent a year at sea doing his cadet internship and Tom had lots of stories to tell.
It was a great conversation on both sides.
He was a fine man, a fine gentleman and an all round nice guy. He will be missed at our home.
I sent his obituary on to Archbishop Martin Currie in St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador.
When Tom would come to our home I always took his photo and sent them on to the Archbishop so he was well aware of Tom's busy life selling fresh fish.
I send along my deepest sympathy to all the family. Tom is one man who will not be replaced. His life story belongs in a book. Rest In Peace Tom.
