Obituary for Frances Annie Schnare

Frances Annie  Schnare
It is with great sadness that the family of Frances Annie Schnare, 86, of Lunenburg announces her passing on Thursday, August 31, 2017 at South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater.

Born in Bridgewater, she was a daughter of the late Edmund and Annie (Crouse) Wamboldt. She was a member of St. John’s Anglican Church, Lunenburg.

Frances worked as office manager at Quality Poultry, Northwest for 25 years and finished her working career in the business office at Fishermen’s Memorial Hospital, Lunenburg. In her spare time she enjoyed tole painting, playing cards, and many family camping trips over the years. She especially enjoyed special times with her family and friends.

Frances is survived by her daughters, Janet (Bill) Latter and Valerie Grondin, both of Lunenburg; grandson, Derry (Sonia) Grondin, Hammonds Plains; step-grandchildren, Scott (Celeste) Latter, New Minas, Rhonda (David) Henley, Dartmouth; great-grandson, Bailey Grondin, Hammonds Plains; sister, Irene Johnson, Bible Hill.

Along with her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Robert Raymond Schnare; brothers, Arnold, Avery, Harvey, Theodore, Harold, Earl, Everette and Aubrey; sisters, Mary MacKenzie, Helen Creelman and Audrey Crouse.

Funeral arrangements entrusted to the Dana L. Sweeny Funeral Home, 11213 Hwy #3, Lunenburg and from where visitation will be held Saturday from 7-9 p.m. and from where a Funeral Service will follow on Sunday at 2:00 p.m. Rev. Alvin Westgate officiating. Interment to follow in Martin’s Brook Cemetery, Martin’s Brook.

Family flowers only. Memorial donations may be made to the Fishermen’s Memorial Hospital, Lunenburg, South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater or a charity of your choice.

The family would like to thank Dr. Newton and staff at Fishermen’s Memorial Hospital and the ICU staff, Dr. Jeff Ratushny and Dr. West of South Shore Regional Hospital for their excellent care and concern.
