If you ever wanted to know something that none of the rest of us knew about - Ian was your guy. His knowledge about sports, etc. was simply amazing. Condolence From: Chris B.
Condolence: I wish to express my sympathies to the family for the loss of Ian. Even though I did not know him personally, it grieves the heart to lose a loved one, who loved family and life. It seems that we are never ready to pass away, which shows that our Creator, Jehovah, did not purpose life to end. So a comforting hope from the Bible says "the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs (in God's memory) will hear his voice and come out . . . to a resurrection of life." (John 5:28, 29) And the promise when God "will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more . . . nor pain be anymore" in the Paradise to come, right here on earth. (Revelation 21:4) Please accept these thoughts toward the family.

Condolence: Dear friend, you can not imagine how saddened and shocked I was to hear that you are gone. I have been thinking of you for days. I intended to pull out my old photo albums and refresh old memories, but found the memories came flooding out all around me. Perhaps surprisingly, I have been smiling and laughing more than I have been crying. Thinking of your dry humor, your many opinions on just about everything, your very good knowledge of trivia ( and perhaps your less than stellar play at Scrabble) , always kept me well entertained. Your home was warm and inviting (a true reflection of you), and I've just now realized I probably owe you a million meals that I can not repay. I am so glad you made it home to be with your family. My heart goes out to your family, they have lost so much. As for me, I am just thankful to have called you a friend and that you taught me at least 2 things: 1. cats do deserve to drink out of crystal glasses; and, 2. cats really do like eating green olives. Be well old friend.

Condolence: Ian was my friend. A humble gentleman; soft-spoken, unassuming, considerate. Well mannered, educated, and liked. He was of wry wit, deep knowledge, and diverse in his enjoyments: opera, literature, professional sports, fine wine, and good company. We are sorry for our sudden loss of Ian, and sorrier still for those who did not get to know such a good man. My sincere condolences to the family and friends.

Condolence: To all of Ian's Family, my sincere sympathy on your loss. I remember Ian fondly as a jovial person, who was truly a trivia wizard. Thankfully, we didn't compete; I was no where near his class. We were hiking pals - part of a group that loved the trails in the Canadian Rockies. Those were special times. I hope each of you has a special memory to cherish, just as I do.
