Thinking of you all at this very difficult and tender time. When I first moved to Riverport in 1994 Maria was one of the first people I met. She was very active in her community, church and wider area. She had a great passion for everything she was involved in and I always enjoyed being in her presence. There were many U.C.W. Christmas parties at her home which was decorated up so beautifully and with the added attraction of lit candles all around. The programs she put on for meetings were always a pleasure to take part in. I loved to hear her laugh. The last number of years have been difficult for her and now she is set free from her struggles. The God of peace has given her a final healing. I remember watching in absolute amazement the day she came to the rescue of a certain neighbour who had passed out and needed to be carried into his house. I met Maria when she first moved to Lunenburg, our children were in nursery school together.
