Mary Elizabeth  Hickey
It is with great sadness that the family of Mary Elizabeth Hickey, 77, of Bayport, announces her passing on Thursday, March 8, 2018 at South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater.

Born in Marystown, NL, she was a daughter of the late Thomas and Elizabeth (Drake) Fitzpatrick.

Mary moved to Lunenburg, NS to be closer to her family after her late husband Joe passed away.

For those her knew her, knew that Mary enjoyed entertaining...whether she was cooking, singing or playing the piano. Mary also enjoyed spending her days with Clyde and her dog Gracie.

We will all cherish our memories with you Mom. Lots of love:
Don, Colleen, Brandace, Jayde; Thersita, Thomas; Carol-Anne, Tara and Chace.

Mary is survived by her partner, Clyde Spindler; daughters, Teresita Hodder, Martins River, Carol-Anne Hodder, Lower Branch; son, Donald (Colleen Skinner), Bayport; step-son, Scott Hickey, NL; grandchildren, Thomas Skinner, Tara Johnson, Brandace and Jayde Hodder; great-grandson, Chace Hodder; sisters, Marguerite (Walter) Power, Mercedes (Jim) Cheeseman, Lenora (Wayne) Antle, Bernadette (Bill) Dicks; brothers, Phil (Marion) Fitzpatrick and Wally Fitzpatrick; sister-in-law, Linda Fitzpatrick; brother-in-law Jerome Rowlands, all of NL. She will also be missed by several nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her son, James Hodder; daughter, Linda Hodder; brother, Pat Fitzpatrick; sister, Joan Rowlands as well as a sister in infancy.

Funeral arrangements entrusted to the Dana L. Sweeny Funeral Home, 11213, Hwy #3, Lunenburg. In keeping with Mary’s wishes, there is to be no public memorial service.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations made to South Shore Regional Hospital, or a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
