Obituary for Scott Joshua "Scotty" Ernst

Scott Joshua "Scotty" Ernst
It is with great sorrow that the family of Scott Joshua Ernst, 20, of Bridgewater, announce his passing on Saturday, April 7, 2018 at South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater, with his family by his side.

Born in Bridgewater, he was the son of Kyran and Tammy (Ernst) Johnston, of Bridgewater.
Scotty lived a happy and joyful life. He never allowed his disability to stop his contagious smile.

He was a student attending Parkview Education Centre, to which he loved going to. Scotty loved being around the staff and fellow students.

Scotty taught his family the importance of unconditional love, compassion, patience, and acceptance.

Scotty has taken our family down a different road, that we never knew before him. He taught us to accept what life had given us and how to face things head on and as a family, because we never knew what was behind the next door.

"No one ever made a difference, by being like everyone else."

Besides his parents, Scotty will be greatly missed by his sister; Megan (Deven Jack) Ernst, Bridgewater; grandparents, Marilyn (Clayton Ricketts) Ernst, Gold River, Kyran and Roseanna Johnston, Pollard Point, NL; Aunt, Lisa (Kimber) Demont, Western Shore; cousins, Mary Ann and Jordan Corkum, as well as niece Olivia Ann Jack.

Funeral arrangements entrusted to the Dana L. Sweeny Funeral Home, 11213 Hwy #3, Lunenburg and from where visitation for Scotty will be held on Wednesday from 7-9 p.m. and where a memorial service will be held on Thursday at 2:00 p.m. Gary Carey officiating. A gathering for family and friends will be held at 33 Awalt Rd, Spectacle Lake, following the service.

In lieu of flowers, donations made to the I.W.K would be appreciated by the family.
