Obituary for Lloyd Enos Zinck

It is with great sadness that the family of Lloyd Enos Zinck, 81, of Clearland, announces his passing on Wednesday, April 25, 2018 at home.

Born in Walden, he was a son of the late Enos and Hattie (Keddy) Zinck.

Lloyd spent his working career with A. Dauphinee and Sons in Lunenburg as a blockmaker for more than 35 years. An avid hunter, he had a love of deer hunting and was an avid hunter until his health forced him to give it up. Family was very important to Lloyd and he was very proud of all their accomplishments, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In later years, Willy and Dolly were his constant furry companions.

Lloyd is survived by his sons, Kim (Cindy), Garden Lots; Rodney (Kathy) Clearland; David (Patricia), Bridgewater; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; sister, Nellie (Mike) Joudrey, Martins River; brothers, Gordon, Bridgewater, Harold (Julie), Clearland, Leo, Mahone Bay, as well as several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his wife Patricia; son, Michael and brother Ray.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction the Dana L. Sweeny Funeral Home, 11213 Hwy. #3, Lunenburg with visitation Friday from 7 – 9 p.m. and where a funeral service to celebrate Lloyd’s life will be held Saturday at 11:00 a.m. Rev. Alvin Westgate, officiating. Interment will be in Hillside Cemetery, Clearland.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of your choice.
