It is with great sadness that the family of Irene Heline Westhaver,94, of Lunenburg and formerly of Blue Rocks, announces her passing on Friday, May 4, 2018 at Harbour View Haven Home for Special Care.

Born in Blue Rocks, she was a daughter of the late Jessen and Vera (Tanner) Morash.

In her earlier years, Irene worked in Halifax as a housekeeper but returned home to Lunenburg to work and care for her family. Irene was known for her wonderful singing voice, strong faith and love of family, children, gardening and hugs.

Irene is survived by her brother; Victor, Lunenburg; sister-in- law, Barbara Morash; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, she is predeceased by her husband, Charles; brothers, Frederick and Percy; sisters, Bertha, Jean, Josephine and Ada; as well as an infant baby.

Funeral arrangements entrusted to the Dana L. Sweeny Funeral Home, 11213 Hwy #3, Lunenburg and from where a memorial service will be held on Tuesday, May 8, 2018, at 2:00 p.m. Rev. Alvin Westgate officiating. Interment to follow in Martins Brook Cemetery, Martins Brook

In lieu of flowers memorial donations made to the Harbour View Haven Home for Special Care or Central United Church or a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
