It is with great sadness that the family of Marilyn Louise Nowe, 81, of Lunenburg, announces her passing on Sunday, May 20th, 2018, at Harbour View Haven Home for Special Care, Lunenburg.

Born in Lunenburg, she was the daughter of the late Bertram and Charlotte (Knickle) Corkum.

Marilyn spent most of her working career with National Sea, Lunenburg, where she worked alongside her mother for a period of time. In her younger days she loved to go swimming, an activity she missed doing in later years. She surprised her family, when after retirement, she took up golf and curling, and was a member of both the Lunenburg Golf Club and the Lunenburg Curling Club. Marilyn also enjoyed time spent with family and friends.

Marilyn is survived by her son, Gary (Cindy), Lunenburg; granddaughter, Yasmin (Donald Walker), Oakhill and great-grandson, Dylan.

She was predeceased by her husband, Walter (Mutt), daughter-in law Kathy and companion Ron Corsten.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Dana L. Sweeny Funeral Home, 11213 Hwy #3, Lunenburg. In keeping with Marilyn’s wishes there is to be no public service and a private family interment will be held at a later date.
