Obituary for Mary "Lynn" Burton

Mary "Lynn"  Burton
It is with great sadness that the family of Mary "Lynn" Burton, 64 of Feltzen South announces her passing on Monday, September 03, 2018 at the Fishermen's Memorial Hospital Lunenburg.

Born in Timmins, ON, she was the daughter of the late Herbert and Mary Elizabeth (Muirhead) Prince.

Lynn's working career was a manager in retail and then went on to be a member of the National Association of Underwater Instructors. Lynn and Sam moved to Feltzen South in 2014 where their retirement years were spent travelling Canada in their RV Camper, a member of the Riverport Community Choir and a member of St. John's Anglican Church Lunenburg and the Ladies Guild.

Lynn enjoyed life and found the greatest pleasure in nature and photographing flowers, birds and the ocean. She had a great eye for pictures and made many beautiful shots of sunrise, sunset and the ocean. She loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren and had a special bond with her grand-daughter Amy and niece Ashley and she will be missed by all those who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her husband, Sam, daughter, Dana Prince (Rob Liebel), Kitchener, ON; step-daughters, Lyn Hunt (Cori), Marysville, WA; Meg Senker (Ron), Washago, ON; Kathleen Burton, Victoria, BC;10
grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren, sisters, Barbara Davidson, Patricia Prince, and Lorri Gagnon (Bill Hajnrich); brothers, Robert (Suzanne) Prince and Michael (Susan) Prince all of Timmins, ON. and
several nieces and nephews.

Lynn was predeceased by her parents, step-son, Bradley Burton, brothers, Donald, and David.

A memorial service to celebrate Lynn's life will be held on Friday at 2:00 p.m. at St. John's Anglican Church, Lunenburg, Rev. Alvin Westgate, officiating. Reception to follow at the Parish Hall.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, the Canadian Cancer Society or to the Canadian Red Cross through the Dana L. Sweeny Funeral Home, 11213 Hwy # 3,
Lunenburg.
