Obituary for George Sutherland Henderson

It is with great sadness that the family of George “Hank” Sutherland Henderson, 89, of Lunenburg, announces his passing, on Tuesday, September 25, 2018 at the Fishermen’s Memorial Hospital, Lunenburg.

Born in Bedeque, P.E.I., he was the son of the late Sutherland and Helen (MacKay) Henderson.

George’s earlier years were spent in PEI and he and his wife, Helen moved to Lunenburg in 1958 where he worked as an Insurance Adjustor. Active within his community he was a member of the Lunenburg Curling Club, the Lunenburg Golf Club and many friends enjoyed his company at his regular visits to Tim Horton’s. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family.

George was predeceased by his wife the former Helen Cameron.

Funeral Arrangements are under the direction of the Dana L. Sweeny Funeral Home, 11213 Hwy #. 3, Lunenburg. A graveside service will held at a later date at the Crapaud People’s Cemetery, Hampton, PEI

In lieu of flowers memorial donations in George’s memory may be made to a charity of your choice.
