Frank Howard Veinote
Frank Howard Veinote, 85, of Second Peninsula, died Saturday, September 18, at Fishermen’s Memorial Hospital, Lunenburg.
Born in Second Peninsula, he was the son of the late William and Waity (DeMone) Veinote.
Frank was blessed to be able to earn a living working on the family dairy farm, continually surrounded by the environment that he loved. Over the years he also worked as a truck driver, delivered the local rural mail for over 35 years and later operated Frank’s Auto Sales.
He was a member of St. John’s Anglican Church, Lunenburg.
Frank enjoyed life and treasured special times with his family. His outgoing personality and friendliness endeared him to his many friends and neighbours and he will be greatly missed.
Frank is survived by his wife, the former Nellie Joudrey, daughters, Elizabeth (Reginald) Bell, Blue Rocks; Melanie (Ted) Naugler, Lower Cornwall, sisters, Lillian (Edward) Ryder, Pleasantville; and Ruby Young, Wellington-Cole Harbour.
He was predeceased by an infant son, William Frank, sisters, Pearl, Leila, Beatrice, brothers, Cecil and Basil.
Funeral Arrangements are under the direction of the Dana L. Sweeny Funeral Home, 11213, Hwy. # 3, Lunenburg. A service to celebrate Frank’s life will be held Thursday at 2:00 p.m. at St. John’s Anglican Church, Lunenburg, Rev. Michael Mitchell, officiating. Interment will be in Hillcrest Cemetery, Lunenburg.
