The dog whisperer
Back in the early-to-mid 80s, I was able to witness something that until the invention of YouTube was quite a claim to fame. My great-uncle taught his dog how to talk! I personally witnessed his (and Andreen's) terrier sit at the door and say, (in what would be somewhat slurred speech for a human) "I want out!" I couldn't believe what I was hearing. It was much clearer to me than most baby talk that only mothers understand. I knew what the dog was saying, and I think anyone could have disciphered it that heard him. How he managed to teach the dog to do that is beyond me.
