Obituary for Susan Elva Goodwin (Tanner)

Susan Elva Goodwin (Tanner)
It is with great sadness that the family of Susan Elva Goodwin, 62, of Bridgewater, announces her passing on May 20, 2015 at South Shore regional Hospital, Bridgewater.

Born in Lunenburg, Susan was the daughter of the late Allan and Annis (Crossland) Tanner.

Susan was a very proud mother and grandmother and supported them in all their endeavours. She always made taking care of home and family her priority and could always be counted on whenever needed. Susan especially enjoyed any opportunity to spend time with the grandchildren and her door was always open to them. Over the years many fond memories were made during the many camping trips from Shore Boat View in Bayport to the Hibernia Campground in Caledonia, as well as many others in between.

Susan is survived by her husband, George; sons, Todd (Twillia) Tanner, Blue Rocks; Richard Gallant, Dayspring; sister, Linda (Charlie) Oickle, Bridgewater; Doris (Everett) Mason, Blue Rocks; Patsy (Roch) Hannams, NL and daughter-in-law, Vanessa Gallant, Maitland. Loving grandmother to Crystal, Zachary and Brittany Tanner, Heidi McNeil, Richie and Derrick Gallant. She also leaves behind several nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her son, Johnny and brothers Carl, Reid and Gary.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Dana L. Sweeny Funeral Home, 11213, Hwy. # 3, Lunenburg. A graveside memorial service will be held in Upper Blue Rocks cemetery at a later date.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations made to the SHAID Tree Animal Shelter or a charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated.
