GINSON, Dorothy Elizabeth (O’Leary, Fogarty)- of Lunenburg and formerly of Hartland, NB, peacefully passed away at Harbour View Haven on October 21, 2015 at the age of 88 years.

Dorothy is survived by her two sons, Michael (Joan), Riverview, NB; David (Anna), Lunenburg; six grandsons, Ian (Trish), Riverview, N B; Scott Sinclair (Bobbie Faye) of the PAS, MB ; Tim (Brigitte), Moncton, NB; Joel (Ivana), Riverview, NB; Scott, Lunenburg; and Patrick (Fressia), of Halifax; nine great-grandchildren and step-daughter, Marion Rigby, Kingston, NS.

Dorothy was predeceased by her parents, Allan and Adella (Clowley) O’Leary; husbands, Laffie Fogarty (1965) and Charles Ginson (2003); two brothers, Paul and Ivan, two sisters, Fran Dickison and Margaret Bradford.

Dorothy worked for the Post Office in Hartland, NB. for over 25 years.

Dorothy loved the simple pleasurers of life. She enjoyed dancing, jersey milk chocolate bars, feeding her feathered friends and fishing in the streams of New Brunswick.

She loved tending her gardens, canning her vegetables-especially fiddleheads, making pickles and crab apple jelly. She lovingly made numerous afghans that were much appreciated by her family.

The family would like to send their heartfelt appreciation to the staff at Harbour View Haven who cared for her with great love and understanding-especially her soul sister, Ginny Hatt and her dancing partner, Kevin Hebb.

The funeral service will be at a later date with interment in the Otis Cemetery, Nackawic, NB.

Memorial donations in Dorothy’s memory made may be made to Harbour View Haven Home for Special Care, the Alzheimer Society of Canada or to a charity of your choice.
