Obituary for
Audrey Irene Walfield
It is with great sadness that the family of Audrey Irene Walfield, 88, of Rhodes Corner, announces her passing on Wednesday, September 7, 2016 at the Fishermen’s Memorial Hospital, Lunenburg.
Born in Hebbville, Audrey was the daughter of the late, Murray and Frances (Rhodenizer) Nowe.
Audrey enjoyed the simple pleasures of life and to her spending time at home with family and friends was the most important. She loved the outdoors and could always be found in her flower gardens, feeding the ducks and enjoying knitting another set of socks.
She took a great interest in her community and was a faithful member of St. Luke’s Lutheran Church, Rhodes Corner where she supported the church in any way she could.
We have all been blessed to have known such a great lady and she will be truly missed by so many.
Audrey is survived by her daughters, Maxine Knox, Rhodes Corner; Linda (Roger) Barry, Maitland; sons, Albert (Pam), Rhodes Corner; Roland, Rhodes Corner, grandchildren, Melina, Melisa, Tanya, Angie and Samantha, great grandchildren, Haley and Kdyn, sister, Phyllis (Alfred) Floyd, Upper LaHave, brother, Robert Nowe, Bridgewater.
She was predeceased by her husband, Moody, grandson, Craig, and brother, Avon.
Memorial service to celebrate Audrey’s life will be held Monday at 2:00 p.m. at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church, Rhodes Corner, Rev. Stephen Kristenson, officiating. Interment will be in Middle LaHave Cemetery, Middle LaHave.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to St. Luke’s Lutheran Church, Rhodes Corner.
