Condolence: It is with great sadness that I learned of Lorna's passing. Not only was she a terrific mother, she was also a great grandmother to my son John. I always called Lorna Mrs. Laing out of respect. Everyone in her local community held her in such high esteem. I remember her as being a wonderful cook, able to handle many tasks in an efficient way, patient, kind and a pretty good card player. I have many fond memories of Mrs. Laing and will cherish them forever. From what I have heard, I know Mrs. Laing would have been proud of the funeral service held in her honor. Words of praise spoken at her funeral certainly confirms that she was a wonderful lady.

Condolence: Lorna was a dear friend and neighbour for many years in Lockeport. In 1973 the[then] three of us had the pleasure of staying with her and Lyndon while waiting for newly bought furniture to furnish our house in town to arrive. We both taught Judy and Barb at LRHS. Leo sang for years with Lyndon in the local men's choir. So yes, we knew each other very well. Lorna was an anchor for us come-from-aways and the best kind of role-model. We'll misss her.
