Steve was a dedicated and loyal Sheriff and employee of the Department of Justice who enjoyed his job everyday. He knew everybody and even those who he did not know, it would not take him long to get to know them. He would do what ever needed to be done to make his organization better and was often called upon by his peers to lead special projects or initiatives. As a friend, he was always spoke highly of his family, his passions and hobbies and was always ready to take a phone call, regardless of the need. His staff has his support an likewise supported him.
