Captains Stephen & Karen Holland

We are very sorry to hear of Ruth's passing. Ruth was a very special part of our church family for many years before she moved to Sydney. When my husband and I moved to Bridgewater in July 2007, Ruth was one of the first people I got to know well. We would go for drives to Mahone Bay so that she could visit her husband's grave. I remember how she would always show me her mother's picture of her in her Salvation Army uniform and tell me how much I reminded her of her mother when she saw me in my uniform. When she was feeling well enough, I would pick her up for church Sunday mornings and she was always so happy to be able to attend the services and see her friends. She especially enjoyed our monthly pot-luck lunches. I was sad to see her leave us in Bridgewater, but knew how lonely she was for her family and she was excited to be going to be with her son. Paul & Rob, I'm very sorry to hear of your loss - your mom talked to me so much about her two sons and how proud she was of you both. May God bring you peace during this time of loss.
