The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Glen Geldert can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

The lighting of a Memorial Candle not only provides a gesture of sympathy and support to the immediate family during their time of need but also provides the gift of extending the Book of Memories for future generations.

I was so sorry to read of Glen's passing in the paper on Saturday. Glen was a true gentleman and a great boss. I reported to him directly in 1986-87 when he was VP - Ops at MT&T and I was GM - Operations Support. We had a really good relationship, especially given our different professional backgrounds, and I greatly appreciated Glen's confidence in me. Later in the 1990's he was on my Board at Island Tel was I had the CEO's position and again I received great support from Glen. I was thinking of Glen just a week ago when my wife and I were driving past the turn off to Hermans' Island on our way to an event in Lunenburg. Glen has left a lasting legacy of being a great leader and good friend to all who knew him. I will miss him.
