Goodbye Sweet Ruby
Fourteen years ago our lives changed, my Dad met Ruby. She became a constant companion to him and a joy to our family.
Ruby was always ready for an adventure and we had many. Holidays, birthdays, community suppers, the Mahone Bay Flea Market, family BBQ's, fishing with Zach. He would reel them in and she would net them. Even as a senior she went on the Titl-A-Whirl with Zach at the county fair...the list goes on.
She and my Dad were always together. Card parties, "get togethers" and of course the cottage was a regular haunt in earlier years. Every weekend they made their rounds to visit family and friends in nursing and senior homes.
Our families combined nicely and we had regular gatherings, the last being my Dad's 90th birthday in May. Who would have known life would change to quickly.
We will now have to find a "new normal" and that will be difficult. We love you and will miss you always.
