Condolence: To the family of Doug, I felt a profound sadness when I heard of Douglas' passing. He would stop by the shop to have his glasses cleaned and adjusted and to chat with me about the deer and Shirley and all the things that were keeping him busy. He had such a wonderful disposition. I will miss his kindness and happy smile. May he rest in peace.

I was very sad to hear of Doug's passing. Sad for me and for you but not sad for him. I know he is resting in the arms of our Lord right now with blessings he could never have dreamed of.

I only met Doug over a year ago at the Lunenburg Community where he was completely dedicated to getting his exercise. He touched my life in that short time. A very loyal gentleman, deeply committed to his wife, Shirley, and dedicated to his service for our Lord and Saviour. In some ways he reminded me so much of my own Dad.

Keep him in your hearts, speak of him often, and spread his love around. I know you will be there for each other. God will see you through
