The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of H. Hugh Plant can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

Note in mailbox "See Captain Plant - No. 1 Uniform"

On the rare occassions that I had note in my mailbox on Monday morning for a meeting with Captain Plant it usually involved a few classmates as well.  He had a way of always making one feel better about the themselves and the college upon our exit from his discussion as opposed to how we felt at our arrival at his office.  He had a good understanding of human nature and he passed on to me the importance of that understanding to pursue in my own career.   I feel fortunate to have known him and his family.  He will be missed but not forgotten by so many.
